Work at the Townhouse

We have completed our first project. This project involved some renovations to a townhouse that is used by transplant patients at Duke Medical Center.

We were able to accomplish the following:

  • The carpet was removed and replaced with hardwood floors.
  • Wallpaper was removed from both bathrooms.
  • The entire townhouse was painted.
  • We purchased the following:

  • A steam mop to allow families to clean and disinfect the floors
  • A computer desk and chair
  • Plastic drawer containers for the medical supplies
  • Art work for the walls
  • Linens
  • Dishes
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Additional small things that were needed

  • The home was rekeyed.
  • Vertical blinds were installed in the master bedroom and kitchen.
  • There is still more to be done. However, we were able to accomplish a lot to help the families who need this townhouse.

Our next goal is to raise money to purchase new living room and dining room furniture that families will be able to clean and disinfect. Also, we are looking to purchase two new twin box springs and mattresses, along with bed pads and a bathroom scale.

Special thanks goes to Carpet One, J.C.M. Painting, and Home Depot for all that they donated, and the work that was done at the townhouse.
